WFIL Boss Jock Tom Tyler was hired to do
liners for The Great 98.

This recording session produced liners that
ran for only a couple of days.

The Reason:
Skip McCloskey, being the troublemaker he was, brought to the
program director's attention that the city's name is pronounced
WASHington not WARSHington.

The PD threw a fit and was not happy with Skip.
The liners were produced, carted up
and put into rotation anyway.
But much to the PD's credit, new liners were cut
and were on the air in two days.

Here is that first recording session
with Tom (in Philly) along with the short lived liners.

BTW:  That PD now is a very successful actor/VO artist
whose spot can be seen on our Main Page
His name revealed next month
